Next best thing to ContiExtremeContact?

My 2000 9-5 SE V6 needs new tires badly. I've got ContiExtremeContacts on it, and I've been very happy with them. Unfortunately, it seems like everyone else who has a Saab is happy with them, because they're backordered everywhere. I'm told it could be 8 weeks before anyone has them back in stock.
So what's the next best thing? I'm looking for a performance all-season tire that grips well on dry pavement, is safe in the snow on city streets, and costs about the same as the Contis. (That is, something like the PZero Nero is right out on winter and cost grounds.)
I'm hoping to afford winter tires this year, but I procrastinated a bit too long and I need new all-season tires first.
I know the last thing the board needs is another tire thread... but I'm hoping for specific recommendations, seeing as how Continental is so badly backordered.
