Help! Key remote didn't open 2001 Aero this morning, when I unlocked the door with the key the alarm started going off. There is no message on the sid, nothing happens - almost as if the battery was removed. I tried putting the key in the gnition and hitting the lock button 4 times as suggested in the manual, nothing. Not even a click. Checked car battery with multimeter and there is juice, thank god since it's 3 months old...I have never replaced the key batteries. Car has never been flooded so doubtful its the twice (I hope).
Is there anything I can do myself before I have the car towed to the nearest dealer 45 miles away????
