Some timing belts can be cut a little bit different from the big mat and that will make them wander back and forth over the pulleys making noise when starting cold.
It's quite a bit of work to remove motor mount, serpentine belt, tensioner, pulleys and the timing cover to look at the timing belt setup.
But it could be worth it for piece of mind.
What you can do is to remove those parts and start the car cold, if you hear the noise, spray some lubricant on the timing belt and if the noise goes away right away, it is most likely the belt sides rubbing against the pulley walls.
Did the shop leave any warranty on the job? If so let them deal with it.
