The new description of the leak doesn't say much more than last post.
So you can now only go by what the two shops have said if you don't want to try a third shop.
Saab have come out with a method to reseal the timing cover with engine still in car but it is still A LOT of work and I don't know if it worth it or not.
Many things has to be disconnected and the engine moved around to make room.
In Saabs case they don't remove the cylinder head which is to me plain insanity since it is so common with leak from the head gasket.
If the oil is leaking from the spot on the picture, I still say it is the head gasket.
