I bought a set of the weather tech carpet mats formy car, orriginally intending to use only in winter, but endedup leaving them in four seasons as they had a nicer feel to them than even the mats that came in my 2002 Aero. I recently had a loaner 2006 9-5, and have to agree that the floor mats looked and felt like paper machet. Chintzy is too nice a word. Things like that will drive people away from the car.It used to be that the cost cutters took away things that the owner would never see or care about, like the clear coat over painted areas that were not external. Cheapening the floor mats is a huge error,since almost everyone takes them out to clean occasionally.
