Or is that just a blanket recommendation? "They'll be under spec after we turn 'em." Often they'er fine without turning. Often new pads are all that's needed, but many mechanics have boat payments and need the parts income. Dealers often take the easy way out by only recommending replacement rotors with brake jobs. Removes lotsa' customer service hassles and judgement calls, but as I said, often not needed.
BTW $510 for pads and rotors ain't too bad even for more common cars and especially good for a dealer.
