Actually, I was looking at the RL and the Lexus GS350 at the same time. The GS350 was a little faster, but on a $50k car, cash deal, no trade-in, they were willing to come down "$100-$200, maybe". AS IF!
The Acura listed for $49,300 and they sold it for $43,700. I am very happy with the price and the car is marvelous. For those of you who asked, it handles like it is on rails- the intelligent all-wheel drive system is quite something. Acceleration, after a little low end lag ( sound familiar?) is really good, and the voice-controlled systems are quite something: "turn climate control on, fan speed 4". You don't have to take your eyes off the road or your hands off the wheel. Better, the voice recognition is integrated with the navigation so you can tell it to "find nearest chinese restaurant" and it will bring up a screen with your chices within a predetermined distance. EVEN BETTER, if there is a Zagat's rating attached, it will read it to you. I am having way too much fun. It takes a 2-hour training session to set up and learn to operate all the systems on this car.
