Saabs with TCS will brake one wheel if spinning in comparison to the other, or under some conditions cut the throttle too, for example if both fronts are spinning/slipping equally.
I think sometimes folks get into the TCS on jack rabbit starts and think it's turbo lag.
Saab 9-5s are capable of lasting as long or longer as anything built with proper care. Paint, interiors, functionality are all first tier and durable. Nothing terminal in the drivetrain wear wise, engines, trannies, suspensions accessories are all stout.
I get 21-24 in commuting mixed commuting, 26.5 in hot long distance driving, in my 2000 Aero SportWagon.
One note gleened from you other clarification post is that you want sport and LPT, which with a Saab are at cross purposes. From a antithetic point of view the HOT turbo in the Aero is just as effeicient economy wise. No performance penalty in normal driving. 9-5 Aeros are very sporty with no fuel economy penalty vs a 2.3LPT.
