Rear alignment - advice & request 4 advice

Installed the Saab sport chassis/roadholding kit/Aero suspension in my '01 LPT wagon. Of course it lowers the car a bit and increases my negative rear camber, so I have the car on jacks right now to install the adjustment shims.
Advice: Ignore what WIS says about fancy sockets/extensions/u-joints. Instead, remove the one bolt (18mm head) that holds the upper control arm to the hub. There's a locking tab on the nut that needs to be unbent to loosen it. Swing the control arm up and you have full access to the four nuts on the rear of the hub that need to be loosened to install the shims.
Request 4 advice: I have the four nuts loosened as per WIS and the hub is still stuck tight to the control arm. I've hammered and pried on it a bit but don't want to break anything. Is there something else I need to remove or some special technique?
Thanks,
Les
