First, you will need to remove the plastic cubby, which is a very tight pressure fit and can either be yanked out if you can grip it well enough, or pried out with a flat head screw driver. After the cubby is removed, it should expose two screws that need to be removed. Then, pull out the heated seat switches (and cooled seat switches if equipped). If you only have heated seats, the easiets way is to pry out the dummy switches and then pull out the heated seat switches, as they are also a pressure fit. Then disconect the switches from the wiring harness. Next, remove the rubber trim piece that surrounds the shifter. This should unclip with some pressure. Now you are ready to pull out the shifter surround trim piece. Just undo the cigarette lighter harness and unclip the door lock button. These instructions are assuming you have an automatic tranny. I dont know how a manual tranny differs in the removal. Good luck.
