Time for service: just a timed interval ... probably triggerd since you are nearing the 90k mark. When the message appears, press and hold the "clear" button until it says "cleared" and continue to hold "clear" button down until it says "service"
AC: yes if you have abnormally high pressue on one side do not try to charge it. High pressure is typically caused by a blockage in the system.
the blockage can be debris from a failed receiver/dryer (dessicant bag punctured) or metal shavings from a failing or failed compressor. a failing compressor will make a lot of noise.
I do not know if the 9-5 uses an orifice tube, but if so, start there. inspect the orifice tube to see if it is plugged. if so, replace it, and the failed part. flush the AC system (to get out the rest of the debris) and recharge.
