Wow, what a great car! After owning 4 older 900's over the years ('79 900 Turbo, '82 900 Turbo, '85 900 Turbo and a '92 900S), we finally broke down and bought a new 2006 9-5 2.3T last week.
We were not impressed with our local Saab dealer, so we ended up buying ours from Garry Small Saab in Portland. Let me tell you, this is how car buying should be! My wife and I had a shopping list of stuff we wanted on our car (Chili Red, Parchement Leather, 5 speed manual, sport package and visibility package). They searched the country and finally found one for us and had it shipped out from Pennsylvania. Richard was great to work with, and would highly recommend him if you are looking for a new car! Plus, with all new 2006's left in inventory, how can you beat 0% financing? What a deal.
We drove our '92 900S down to Portland and said goodbye to it as we took delivery of our new "Baby". What a nice drive back to Seattle.
One thing I did find odd about the new Saab (but of course, don't Saab's always have something odd??? hahaha), was they they only use 1 back up light (Trunk, RH side) and the opposite (Trunk, LH side) is a fog light. I got a chuckle out of the owners manual which stated they use only 1 rear fog lamp, so as not to confuse following cars won't confuse it with the brake lights.
Looking forward to many happy miles!
Mike
