That's the start. Same thing happened to me. When It all began, about two months ago. I got the batteries figuring I would need to change them eventually. Finally the alarm went off and would not stop. Of course just when I was leaving for the UK for a week. I had to pull the fuse from inside the hood fuse box ( marked for both Alarm and AC.) to make it stop.
I just replaced the batteries today following the instructions I found here, ( haven't soldered anything in years but it went fine from what I can see so far) 2 hrs total time from getting the wheel up to wheel on the ground again.
Easy fast job, only cost about $50 when you count in the fact that I had to buy a soldering iron, solder and epoxy ( to glue the batteries down )as well as blue locktite for the seal of the box.
thanks to TSN for another 500 in savings.
