Intermittent won't start when hot

9.5 wagon, 5-speed, 4 cyl, 1999 117K mi: Past few months: 1. engine skips or hiccups at speed or under acceleration intermittently; 2. put in clutch, engine stalls (only about 3 or 4 times in two months); 3. car warms up, stop in to store for 10 min, return and won't start, just turns over, sort of like the old vapor lock .. this symptom happens the most, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a day, but after about 5-10 min of trying, it always starts again, and seems to happen mostly in the humid, warmer weather..
Took it to dealer, no computer read-out errors, so he replaced the fuel filter, but same conditions persist..
Researched on SAAB Net and saw a few posts in the past that pin point the no start issue to the crank position sensor (cps), so I have an appt. to replace that ..
My question: do the other two symptoms, hiccups at speed or acceleration, or stalling, have anything to do with the cps?
Thanks, all..tom
