Just a note concerning the 08 Code. I had Code 08's on my '01 Aero for 2 - 3 winters. The first time that I took the stepper motor out, I found that the white plastic arm had broken but the green connector was in one piece. Replacing the stop arm didn't solve my problem. Later replaced the stepper motor - still N/G.
Started continuity checking the wires between the stepper motor and the ACC unit. Found that the connector in back of the radio unit had corrosion on the contacts. Cleaned them and Wha-Lha no more Code 08's.
We'll see if this fix continues through this winter. But, it is definitely worth pulling the radio and checking the connector before committin to big buck repairs. My $0.02!
