Pass side engine mount

I took the mount out for inspection, and found out that the upper metal flange part that the engine U-bracket sits on can slide along the center stud with 2/3" travel. Is this normal?
Someone posted that the mount is hydraulic, so I guess mine got flat so the upper part is no longer tight against the lower part, but I do not see any evidence of fluid leak.
Also I can twist the mount fairy easy by hands. I think it is shot but need to confirm with people with experience.
Yes, I'm trying to resolve steering wheel vibration at idle/ stop with AT on D. Vibration is anoying to say the least, and sometimes I feel sick in stomach and head from vibration through the seat and cabin air pressure, not mentioning the soar wrists. I took the car to the dealer 3 times with absolute no help to remedy the issue. They insist that it is due to dirty throttle body/ injectors and pushes me $160 cleaning. I did clean the throttle body, finding just some slimy gunk but no hard build-ups which easily wiped off with a carb cleaner, but made no difference. Will try injector cleaner next but I doubt if it is effective (but I will be open minded.) Last time I asked to bump up the idle speed with Tech II but they refused it because it's a modification and also tried to charge me $48 (1/2 hour labor) even though the car is still under warranty.
Read many posts here and looks to me that the mount could be the issue. I inspected driver side and back mounts but they are solid. Again, I appreciate thoughts from people fixed the issue. Thanks.
