I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago! The car ran fine, except for having to jump to get started of course. I drove car into garage and changed the battery, then the car just wouldn't start, cranked no start. What happend was the twice module died! This module is under the driver's seat and only can be programmed using Tech2 scan tool. You can put a new one in but the car won't start untill it's programmed. Antother test that told me the module was the problem is that I noticed the door locks and interior lights stopped working when the modul quit. I hope this info helps. And for you sake I hope your twice didn't quit. Such a pain. I have a friend with a Tech 2 and a donor car for a module so I was lucky. Otherwise they are like 600 bucks. Remeber if you are able to get a used module you must have atlest one of the keys-chip that came from the donor car. You can't program your keys to the module without having a pre-porgrammed key. For instance when you buy a new module from the dealer it comes with two programmed chips already. Good luck
