I appreciate your thoughts, as always. I completely agree that for most potential buyers, every aftermarket penny I've put into this thing would be for nil, and all in all, I do plan on keeping this car forever. So, much like others who have customized a car to your liking, I will certainly enjoy what I've done. Having said that, I feel that the right buyer (with specific tastes, as indicated) would pay more for a car like mine, or any variation of a modified car.
The LEDs were purchased at http://www.autolumination.com. I think subtle exterior lighting is the easiest way to transform the look of a car.
About the repaint, my car was keyed at a concert (very kind of someone). It was repainted at the best body shop in San Diego, the type of place that has a 4 week waiting list. My car was clean before the key job, but the new black makes it look brand new, literally.
