Thanks Les. I'll check with my mechanic to see if he checked the tightness of cable attachments. I seem to think he did. I left my car with him last week and he could not recreate the problem so he couldn't "fix" it. The SID didn't have any error codes.
Sounds like you're pretty sure this is the problem. I'm not a mechanic. Would I need a special wrench and is it accessible from the top?
