I'm still learning my car but first gear can be sluggis

Granted, I've only had my Aero (5sp) for 1 month, I've noticed that 1st gear really doesnt' do much for me. It runs out very quickly. 2nd is better but 3rd gear is by far where this car will tear the gates off their hinges! It can be a little scary if you get the right timing, throttle and open road conditions.
I'll admit however that I'm still learning how my car drives since I've only had it 1 month and I don't drive it everyday at the moment. Still driving the Honda Civic trying to sell it (and conserving miles on the Aero). But my little civic is definitly faster to seat in 1st and gets the car going faster than the Saab off the line.
FWIW, Saab openly states their philosophy is not to win at drag racing but to provide the power in real life driving, which would be the middle range speed limits.
Anyway, good luck and be safe. No tickets needed for you (too young!)
