The first year in the US, the 1999's seem to have more issues, but many folks have had great luck with them too. 2000 and up are all darn good, equal to or better than the Europeans and a lot of the Japanese as well.

99-2001 very similar, LPT turbos, V6's, and Aeros (beginning in 2000). 2002 was the Mid Cycle Enhancement, 5 speed auto, slight restyle, sport seats in the Aeros. They're all good. Some like the V6's, some like the 2.3 LPT fours, equal reliabilty and durability. Some like the Aeros with the sport suspension and 17" wheels and 230-250hp 2.3 High Output Turbos (HOT). From 2000 on SE's were all V6s, 2002-2004 and up are Linears with the 2.3 Light Pressure Turbo 185hp, Arcs with the V6 (2004 and up no more V6 Arcs, 220hp 2.3 almost HOT motors) and the Aeros are always the HOT engine.

The premium package is standard in the 200 and up V6's whether SE's 200o-2001 or Arcs 2002-2003, but not in the 2004 and up Arcs. It's nice stuff with the Harmon Kardon sound, memory seat and auto dim mirror. Standard in all Aeros too.

And finally, my mantra, all the cool people drive SportWagons....
