you can pry it out, being careful not to mar the trim. butter knife works well cause its thin, sturdy and wide.
the best fix I found was using a fabric iron. search this board, there is plenty of info. I found that it lasted for about 3 weeks in the heat and humidity of summer in NC. now that the cool weather is here, the repair is holding ...
or for a more professional repair you can send it away to guy, who advertises in the Parts classifieds and on Ebay.
