of course that does not narrow it down much :-)
Its reasonable to think that it could be a plugged fuel filter, but honestly I have never in my life experienced a fuel filter preventing the car from starting. but its easy enough to replace ...
of course the CPS is implicated in a hot no-start.
NPS has been seen to be problematic ... try rowing the shift next time?
Gas tank baffles are a possibility too. there are some posts about that. I had the same problem on a bonneville. It would stall or no start when gas was below 1/4 of a tank due to baffles.
