Clamp position is original factory installation..... Sounds like the locking screw is not supposed to be positioned at 3 o'clock?
I didn't see any protruding roll pin, so either it is located between the clamp ends, or no one installed it which would explain my problem.
I was trying to use 3/8 extensions. I have a very short extension designed to hold the torx bits when using a drill motor, but it even it was too long and interferred with the manifold. Since it is hex cross-section I thought I might be able to turn it with a wrench; no luck with that either.
All this for a pro-active replacement. I can either buy some special tools, or wait until the pump fails and take my car and box of new Saab OEM parts to the local Indy. Hmmm..... my wife wanted additional Cristmas ideas for me.
