I suspect that using such a small tire would be pushing it. 205/50-16 was teh OEM size for the 99-02 9-3 SE. Listed below are tire specifications for comparisom. The first three sizes are OEm stock size for the 9-5. 215/55R16 for majority (se,linear,arc) 225/45R17 was size for 00-05 Aeros and option (rare) on some 03-05 Arcs, all 2006 9-5 are 235/45R17. The difference will tell you how much speedio error you can expect. Bear in mind that these are nominal values and there is some smallvariation bewtween various makes and models of tires with same marked size. Exact sizes can usually be found on manufactures website.
