Biggest single difference is in the markup. Saab List carries 60% markup from dealer cost (i.e., 40% of the list price is dealer gross margin), while internet parts suppliers can work on a much lower margin. They don't have a showroom to support, often their "inventory" is held by the importer (such as "WorldPac"). The second biggest difference is the gross margin on parts taken by Saab. Saab stocks *all* the parts, not just the "fast moving" ones, and they amortize the cost of stocking the rarely ordered roof panels and weird stuff in their overall markups. Or maybe its the reverse order, but those two factors account for most of the price difference.
After that, it becomes a question of whether the part in question is from the original part supplier or an aftermarket supplier, and for the latter, if the part is up to OE quality.
