The V6 engine is pretty hard to modify. I think Nordic makes an ECU upgrade the boosts horsepower to 240 but other than that I think you are stuck. The V6 turbo is designed very specifically for that engine, as it is built into the front exhaust manifold. Unless you are prepared to do some pretty crazy modifications like getting a new turbo welded onto the manifold I think you need to stick with the stock turbo. Also, something else to take into mind is that the reason the engine has only one turbo and a very light turbo at that is because when the engine was designed it was not designed to take the high-stress of a turbocharger. Any turbo bigger than what's on there and be prepared for some premature engine damage.
Also, white smoke does not necessarily mean turbo failure. Is it lots of white smoke right after you start it on a cold morning? If so it's just because the engine is dumping extra fuel into the mixture so it doesn't stall (which was a pretty big problem from this engine before that tweak). Head gasket issues are extremely rare on this V6 so it's probably not that. And if you noticed the white "smoke" on a cool, rainy day, then look at everyone else's' cars- they're probably doing it too. If you have a constant cloud of smoke behind you at all time regardless of weather it could be the turbo, but I doubt it. A good indicator of turbo failure is if you start the car cold after sitting overnight and run like mad back to the exhaust pipe. If there's a puff of blue smoke then you have a turbo problem.
Good luck!
