The air intake for the heat/vent system has a drain to evacuate any water that gets in from the outside. Occasionally leaves or twigs will clog the drain and the excess water will find its way into the system and the cabin. I'm not familiar where the drain is located in the 9-5, but it should not be hard to find. Look for an outlet down low around the firewall.
