Divorcing a previously removed CD changer

I just purchased a 2000 9-5 Aero that has had the cd changer removed but not divorced. The problem I am having is that when I go in with Tech II to check DTC's or any other function, I get caught in a loop that says "one or more bus systems can not make contact" and then on the next screen it lists all of the systems and says "cd changer Missing". I try to manually divorce the changer, but it says "contact not made" (of course, because the changer is not there!) My question is if there is any way to divorce a cd changer that has already been removed from the vehicle? Any input would be appreciated.
