My door speakers keep blowing out; why?

I messed around with my door panels a while back when fixing the window tracks. I remember the connector on the drivers front went bad, I guess from yanking and jiggling the wires, and I snap-crimped a bypass...zero electrical knowhow here....I put everything back and shortly after that speaker blew....buzzing/distrotion....I bought a new HK woofer on ebay and had it installed by an audio shop...the right way I presume because it's been fine since.
Well, just the other night I noticed that my passanger door speaker blew....buzzing/distortion same symptoms. Why is this happening? Did the previous owner abuse the speakers and it was just a matter of time before each went? Everything is stock on the 2003 H/K system except for a Infinity Basslink in the trunk and Boston Acoustic 3.5" in the front shelf..both were done by audio shop.
Any ideas as to the fronts blowing? I don't THINK I crank them, I'm getting too old (26) for that stuff and the Inifity back there is pretty potent so that limits how much I can crank before the subwoofer starts "overpowering" the stage....
