I installed the PBR ceramics and new OEM rotors on my rear axle 20K miles ago, I have regular OEM pads and rotors on the front.
The PBR's have one thing going for them; they stop the car, any adjecent large trucks, semis, birds, planes and the earths rotation in short order.
Dust. The penalty for this stopping power is horrible brake dust, worse -many times over- then the stock pads. When I clean my car, and I do that often, I have to scrub the rears whereas the front OEM's wash off.
Hungry. They have eaten my rotors in 20K, I have a towering lip, grooves and scoring. Keep in mind during the same mileage my already worn rotors have fared just fine, while the rears ate themselves.
I would go with the Akebono pads. I've done some research and ceramic pads can have as little as 5-10% of actual ceramic content and still be branded as "ceramic pads". There is a box Akebono Euro pads in my garage waiting to be installed on the front axle with Zimmerman rotors.
I'd stay away and get either the 06 OEM's or the akebono ceramics from tirerack.com
Best!
