The T-Belt is supposed to be changed at 60K intervals (as you know), but indeed, SAAB WILL pay for a belt up untill 100K.
There is a "window" for the SAAB Free Maintenace services of few thousand miles, but that does not apply to the belt. Some places incorrectly assume that it must be done at 60K and/or must be done as part of the customer pay 60K svc. Neither are true.
The other thing you need to know is that SAAB only pays for the T-Belt and the labor to change it. They WILL NOT cover the tensioner, pullys, serp belt, or any other labor for doing those items. Also, they will only buy 1 belt in that 100K time frame. So other people, don't think that you can get one done at like 55K and then another done just before 100K. They want it done at 60K, but will pay for your FIRST one.
Also, if you wait too long (say 70K) and the belt breaks, you are on your own paying for a head job. SAAB will say (correctly) that they gave you enough time to have the job done right. Also, if the T-Belt tensioner seizes at any time past normal warranty (50K), SAAB will not cover the engine damage.
Anyway, call SAAB's customer service center and tell them your story. They should reimburse you for the T-Belt portion of the job.
