Now what?! Brake problems…aren’t going away… Posted by Savary [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
See my post from a few days ago, and another from a few days earlier.
2002 9-5 Aero, 60k, automatic
Right front new parts:
wheel hub bearing assembly
brake rotor & pads
The pads are dragging on the rotor.
Not the entire circumference, just at a certain spot.
It causes vibration and noise.
It get louder, or worse, when you turn right or left.
A sweeping turn, not around a corner.
I checked the run out on the new rotor and it was ok.
So I installed a new caliper. (old caliper bracket still there)
Problem still exists. No change whatsoever.
So, could it be the brake caliper bracket?
This is how it all started:
Right front made noise when turning left.
Thats the only time you heard anything.
So I replaced the wheel bearing and while I was there did the brakes.
Maybe it was never the wheel bearing, but a brake problem?
I may have to bring it to the Swedish Garage.
I don’t know...
Thanks
