About Koni's.... Posted by Herb Hirsch [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Rear shock fluid discharge, BigThistle, Sat, 2 Dec 2006 05:43:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've used Koni shock absorbers and struts for years. I like them; I always get the adjustable model. Tire Rack has very good prices.
You can replace the rears without doing the fropnts at the same time; do them as a pair. When adjusting set them between 1/3 and 1/2 from the weakest setting; use a vice to hold the mounting lower attachment point.
You'll need a spring compressor to keep the nut on the top from hitting you between the eyes, or lower (worse).
Regarding the fronts...if your car has 80K miles or more on the originals you'll be happier replacing the fronts at some point soon. Again, Koni's would be my choice.
