I decided to avoid this nonsense altogether. My original lugbolts rusted and I replaced them with the newer style (with the separate conical "washer") which also rusted within about 6 months. Rather than spend money on the plastic caps and having to remove them every time I rotated tires, I decided to abandon Saab OEM lugbolts.
I wound up buying a set for an '02 BMW 325xi (wife's car), which have exactly the same thread and seat angle on the head and are maybe 1 mm shorter (hard to tell). They are black in color (I thought it looked nice). Looks like the same bolt for just about all BMWs of the same vintage (3, 5, 7 series). Got them from Bavarian Autosport (http://www.bavauto.com/). Have them on for over 3 months now and they seem fine so far.
