I'm disgusted with this already.
The speed dependent squeaking is back, loud as all hell, and intermittent as always. Pitch changes and then disappears when I jerk the wheel, also silences when brakes are applied....so much money went into this already! noone is able to fix it...
new wheel hub/bearing - self diagnosis, professional install.
new caliper - mechanic found torn boot
new fluid - mechanic flused old (OLD) fluid out...
Last mechanic though it was the caliper, changed passanger side, now I swear the noise migrated over to the driver side and it loud as hell....
I ordered new rotors from eeuroparts and have Akebono pads...my new theory is that it's something with the pads/rotors, retaining springs which are all nearing the end of their life....
I'm going crazy and not sure if I should replace (have replaced) the wheel hub on the drivers side while I'm "in there" with the rotor and pad....
It's really loud when coasting down the street or highway, squeak, squeak, squeak.....I move the wheel every so slightly the pitch changes for a brief moment and it silences, I turn wheel back to track straight and it either comes back or goes away only to come back a mile down the road...I depress brakes and it goes away...
ARRGHHH!!!!
Also, I noticed that after I received the car back from the shop my brake fluid reservoir was full to (or even past) the reservoir cap, wayyy past the MAX mark, I employed a turkey baster and removed the excess....did this cause damage? No relation to the noise which has been plauging me for MONTHS..... :(
