My Indy indicated my Blender shaft may be broken per what he found online... checked SAAB and they had a $2k fix. After researching this BB & SAABSERVICES $200 fix I tore into the car. Blender shaft was not broken or the arm attached to it... removed the electric Blender motor and determined the gear at the end of the shaft was not engaging with the gears attached to the post which engaged the Blender shaft... Moved the gear further out on the shaft, checked it while engine running and it responded nicely. Also removed the ACC unit and reseated the pigtail just to make sure it had good contact.

End result is I now have heat again! Code 08 is now gone! Many thanks to some excellent posting on this site and to Google.
