A few weeks ago i posted how my car would not crank over at all at first. It would take three or four tries of turning the key off and trying again. I thought it might have had something to do with the fact that I removed the positive cable from the battery to do the pcv update. I took the cable off this past weekend again and cleaned the post and cable connection at the battery but that didn't help at all. One of the things I did at various times was to turn the key to on and then move the shift to netral (manual tranny) and then turn the key to start. It may have been just a coincidence that sometimes it started when I did this. Well this morning It did not turn over on the first try. I did it about 12 to 15 times without any success. All the ligts on the dash light up and the headlights turn on. I was wondering if I should try to hook up a battery charger to the battery and see if that would work. I didn't get to do that. All of a sudden in my frustration while having the key turned to start I starting shaking in the drivers seat and all of a sudden it turns over and starts right up! Interesting! I took a chance and turned it off hoping it would start up again. turn the key, no crank. Wait three seconds like this with the key turned to start then I start shaking and moving myself quickly against the upright back part of the seat and moving my butt around in the seat and it immediately cranks over and starts right up. Did the same thing a third time. I have not yet read all of MontereyAero's posts on his no crank updates. This makes me wonder if there is some bad connection somewhere that is causing this. I will have to crawl under the car and first check out the connection at the starter as I read a post by Anders saying the car is known to have the connection at the starter come loose. I wonder if my shaking in the seat makes that connection at the starter work.
