Every time I seem to convince myself I just love my 9-5 (1999 LPT SE sedan) too much to part with it, SaabUSA just lowers the hammer again on my wallet! anyone else feeling the squeeze? it's like Saab no longer wants it's old customer base anymore. just interested in the Merc customer base or something. I've had them for 16 years (3rd Saab) and it is has now gotten BAD on the high mileage - long term customer.

latest is $2 plastic clip on the sunroof deflector requiring ENTIRE assembly replaced for $200 part!! I already removed the arm myself in 60 seconds! just need an arm or clip. that's just the straw for 2006 which only covers the last 10k miles (88k-98k) so I am having a bad year. this does not include other things like Alternator $500 & A/C linkage $400 at 60k just beyond warr.

2006 repairs (not including normal wear items such as brakes, etc)
belt & broken pully $300 (2nd belt BTW)
heater bypass valve $250
front wheel bearing $250 (OK, this is wear)
tensioner pully $300 (didnt solve problem. thx Mr Saab Dealer. now louder than ever)
DIC $400 (I know. I did good to get 90k. no complaint)
cracked fuel tank $900 (What the ....? cracked gas tank!?!?!?!?)
fuel pump $800 (1 week after fuel tank....hmmmm?) these 2 really steamed me, esp within a week of each other. maybe tech dropped the pump on the floor and played hockey with it for a while during the tank replacement?

and now a $200 part just to get a $2 piece for the sunroof. I'm just going to remove the deflector all together ($0) but this still makes me mad...
