As a follow-up to my recent project of rewiring the xenon relay #666 to permit the halogen "flash to pass" lights to go on in conjunction with the xenon high beams in our 2004 9-5, I have now installed the Osram 65 Watt H7 Rally bulb. This is essentially a European bulb with significantly more light output (2,100 lumens) than the stock H7 halogen bulbs. Well, the results are really most impressive, with the halogen high beam lights providing more of a driving beam down the road that nicely supplements the xenon high beam lights. Overall this is the best lighting setup on a stock vehicle that I have ever experienced and I am vry pleased with the results.
Source of the Osram Rally bulbs was an e-bay auction.
