Probably a little more likely to get sludgy, but if you're worried just do your next change early. Or go back and complain and ask them to prove that the blend meets the specs listed in your owner's manual. If it does not you can insist they put in oil that does. Let us know what they say!
AFIK, the only Castrol that meets the API CL or CM specs or the ACEA A3 and B3 specs for a late model 9-5 is Castrol's full synthetic 5/50 or 5/40 oils. I run that in my 9K but Mobil 1 in the 9-5. All changes happen at about 5K.
HOWEVER, my local dealer will put Mobil 7500 in any car that comes in (unless you specify Mobil 1) and he also puts in an oil additive (for which the jerk charges $10).
I just insist on Mobil 1 and tell them no additives. The only reason I go to him is because of the warranty and I want all the changes documented in the Saab computer system.
