need ideas. I've asked before here but just got the standard comments about tires/rims. 1999 v6 wagon 80K miles.
front end "micro" vibration from 65mph+. Doesn't feel like typical tires, front end stuff. I call it a "micro" as it seems to vibe at a higher freqency then what I've felt with other cars and easy to figure out front end issues.
rotated tires (still there)
put on new winter tires and rims (still there)
not inner drivers. vibration is under all loads
good cv, no sounds
doesn't appear to be hubs, no slop
at this point my indie's only solution is to start replacing things at considerable cost. he things the struts may be some place to start, but I'm very skeptical.
i haven't had many cars with struts (most just shocks) but he claims that struts are completely different animals that can cause different issues then shocks.
do you agree?
any other ideas?
anders?
