Rear shocks replaced - ride height question

I had a pair of Koni rear shocks installed on my 2003 9-5 Aero sedan 83k and have noticed that the ride height is about 1" lower on drivers rear than passengers rear side. (The ride height is also lower than stock).
With passenger in car also the car feels like it is 'grounding' over bumps.
I am using stock springs. Is this a sign that I need to replace springs too?
What is the cause?
I am also ordering Koni's for the front as the car to 'balance' out the ride.
Could I have damaged the drivers rear spring by driving (for about 100 miles while waiting to get the Koni's) on a failed original shock that had discharged most of it's fluid?
