New 9-5 for a 9000 driver and Maintainence schedule?

Just coming onto this board. Have a 1997 9000 that has getting to be a hobby car lately. With the phenomenol rebates on the 2006 9-5s I couldn't pass up adding one to my garage. Got a Sportcombi, gray, Sport model, parchment interior. Due to limited availability now I ended up with visibility package and ventilated seats. I think the regular aero seats are cooler but oh well. Board members with ventilated seats seem to like them.
Haven't been able to drive it as it was delivered today and it is snowy, slick, and dangerous in Iowa today.
Does anyone stick to the 10K miles for service? I am used to changing oil and filter every 4 months or 5K miles.
Kept my 97 9000 as I still get a kick out of driving it and may let my son have it if he wants.
Have depended on the 9000 board a great deal for all the niggling little things that have needed attention in the past year. Look forward to being a part of this board as well.
