Sounds like a good idea to check the tensioner but I don't know how to actually check it! seems that even failed tensioners still have pretty tight tension.
Consider replacing the idler pulleys with the belt. They are plastic and kind of crapily made. at least replace the small ones since they are most likely to fail.
My two cents on coolant: if you are still under warranty, stick with dexcool. but if not I would switch to zerex g-05. even though dexcool is considered lifetime, I would flush it every 2 or 3 yrs. (zerex g-05 is the same as Mercedes Benz coolant)
