Yes, you'll have to deal with tubes through the firewall (will have to cut them off at the evaporator first by going through the air ventilation flap from the engine compartment). You'll have to remove the cabin filter. YOu'll need to remove the blower. You'll need to evacuate the AC oil. You'll need to vacuum pump the climate housing to remove metal shavings from tube cutting (above). You'll need to remove the temperature sensor from the evaporator and punch a hole in the new one to reinsert it.
Then, of course, you'll need to get the whole mess back together again.
I could probably do it if I had to...but it doesn't look like fun. Too much work in confined spaces to suit me.
Do you have an good indy in the area that could give you a price on this?
