Trying to fit the motor onto the blend door shaft using your rotating method did not work for me. The fit seemed to be too tight for me to insert the shaft. I managed to get a look at the shaft to see the slot orientation and positioned the motor to the similar position. I was able to get the motor inserted into the shaft, but only part way. It would not go in all of the way. I don't know if the aluminum stop compressed the shaft to make the fit tighter, but I could not get leverage to insert the motor all of the way in. It did go in enough for me to screw in the motor. I ran the recalibration sequence, observed the blend door stop rotating, and got no error codes.
However my blower is not running now. On one occasion, when I closed the car door, the blower came on. I was thinking that maybe a connector came loose when I was fixing the blend door.
Are there any cables that control the blower motor under the driver side dash?
