I have just recieved a recall letter from Saab in the UK for my 2001 95 Aero Estate. The recall is to check and, if necessary, replace the Ignition Discharge Module.
I'm well aware from this forum that many people have suffered with this item. Beyond the potential dangers of the car losing power whilst on the move, are there other problems that could arise from a faulty IDM, i.e. could it have damaged anything else? Should I ask the dealer to check anything else whilst this is done?
Any advice would be appreciated.
