7 Miles!? As soon as that light comes on pull over and turn off the car immediately! Oil light means the oil level is extremely low or the pump has lost pressure. Check the oil level on the dipstick. Maybe you have a head gasket leak and you're burning oil, although you probably would smell it. Are you the original owner? Do you know how often it's had oil changes. Could have a sludge problem and the oil pump is clogged. If you're somewhat of a DIY'er take off the valve cover and look at the timing chain area. If there's tons of gooey oil mess all over it you probably have a sludge problem. Either if you had the oil light on that long and your engine is making those kinds of noises you're in for some hefty repair bills I would imagine. Good luck though.
