I have an 02 Linear with Yoko YK520 tires on it. These tires are the longest mileage tire you can buy in the size 225/45/17. That means they are hard as a rock, but as premium tire. My cabin is still quiet. Now, my 2006 Honda Accord with factory 17 inch tires is loud as hell. I swear that they had some type of compound on the tires that make them quiet for the first 500 miles because it wasn't that loud when I bought it. It wears Michelin Pilots, I will never purchase these because of the sound levels they emit. I used to buy cheap tires but I have come to figure out that what you pay for is what you get...most of the time. The quietest tire I have had was a 225/45/17 from sumitomo. it was HTR-Z with a tread wear of only 160. With these tires the cabin was silent, I guess because the rubber was so soft. But I killed that set within 9,000 miles.
